SocialCulture Transformation

Working Together

Working Together is a culture transformation (CX) project name to change Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems' corporate culture to one that is positive and open.
Through this project, we aim to create a work environment where employees can discuss issues in a positive and open manner and respect each other's opinions.
Listening to employees and fostering new values and behaviors is essential for employees to grow and innovate, and for the company to continue to grow sustainably. We will continue our efforts while keeping in mind global trends and inheriting the good culture of the past.

Working Together Initiatives

Working Together Principle

The Principle, the core of Working Together, is a set of behaviors that we want our employees to practice on a daily basis. The Principle consists of four pillars.

People First

We will create a positive and open workplace by taking on new challenges, actively promoting communication, recognizing others, and consciously practicing mutual cooperation.

Work Smarter

We create a system that enables decision-making through logical communication based on facts and data, while involving stakeholders in a timely manner.

Innovation by Diversity

We encourage employees to recognize and respect each other's diverse ideas and values, and to communicate their own ideas and values a little louder as well. By acknowledging others, empathy and resonance are generated. Rather than “A or B,” we take an attitude of “Find something better” based on “both A and B,” and this will lead to “ innovative ideas”.

Go Green

To keep a close eye on and anticipate global trends, such as changes in the global environment, responses to global environmental issues, and the latest technology and industry trends, each and every employee views environmental issues as his or her own business and takes conscious action to address them. To this end, we actively communicate with people outside the company, stimulating curiosity and gaining new knowledge and perspectives.

Working Together Initiatives

Town Hall Meeting

The meeting is held regularly as a forum for direct dialogue between leaders and employees. It provides an opportunity for employees to experience the diversity of ways of feeling and thinking by discussing approaches to issues, the thinking of each team, and how each employee felt about the issues.

Value Creation Time

A system that allows employees to freely use 5% of their working hours outside of their core business without reporting to their supervisors. Employees use this time for self-learning, such as language study and certification acquisition, generating ideas for business improvement, and environmental conservation activities.

Refresh Friday

An attempt to not include regular meetings, etc. every Friday afternoon. The purpose is to make the most efficient use of time by reviewing the week and preparing for the following week.

Voices of Working Together Ambassadors

The Working Together Ambassadors, selected from each department, are working to promote cultural change in their own departments and in the departments around them, with passion.
