At Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems, we have a culture that encourages every employee to give back to society.

As a part of CSR, we create programs that bring social value to the communities where we operate and that benefit our environment. We know our people can have a meaningful impact on society, so the department also works to ensure employees can easily take part in our CSR activities.

We are committed to helping make society more prosperous through corporate social responsibility activities.

Areas of focus for our Social Contribution Activities

The Hitachi Group's social contribution statement is “Nurturing People, Connecting to the Future.” At Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems, we share its focus on seeing our employees make a difference in our world. We make social contributions in three areas: STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) subjects, the environment, and the local community.

STEAM

As a part of a multinational company that relies heavily on highly skilled employees in areas such as science, technology, and engineering, Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems is invested in ensuring the next generation gets a good education.

Dispatch of Elementary School Teachers

Employees at the head office are involved in the Hitachi Future Innovator ProgramOpen in new tab , which sends employees to elementary schools to help students develop problem-solving skills.

School backpack donation activity

Employees at the head office volunteer for and give toward school backpack donation drives.

Environment

As Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems is focused on significantly contributing to protecting our environment, it is only natural that our CSR activities include an environmental component. Our employees participate in activities that help clean up our environment, protect nature, and promote sustainability.

Community

We deeply value the communities where we operate, and we are eager to give back. We host community events at our sites, carefully tend to the nature and biodiversity around our factories, and make financial contributions to local organizations that are helping to meet needs.
