Video clips presenting some of the applications
Printing and verification system for drink cartons (250 cartons/minute)
An example of a system of automatic printing of management information, such as the expiration date, best-before date, and serial number on paper cartons of milk, juice, liquor, etc., and checking on the contents and results of such printing.
Printing and verification system for film-packaged products (250 pieces/minute)
An example of a system of automatic printing of management information, such as the expiration date and lot number on film packaging of breads, etc., and checking on the contents and results of such printing.
Printing and verification system for cup containers (350 cups/minute)
An example of a system of automatic printing of management information, such as the best-before date and lot number on container packaging of cup noodles, etc., and checking on the contents and results of such printing.
Printing and verification system for individual packaging boxes (400 boxes/minute)
An example of a system of automatic printing of management information, such as the use-by date and serial number on individual packaging boxes of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc., and checking on the contents and results of such printing.
Reliable
Matching verification method realizing human-like assessment
Adjustable matching
Hitachi original adjustable matching has been adopted as the matching verification method. It provides human-like assessment that considers changes in the size and line thickness of dot fonts. This allows acceptable character size variations or distortions that would be judged unacceptable by general image recognition to pass as acceptable, leading to prevention of unwanted faulty rejection as well as improvement of defect detection rate.
Matching principle
Adjustable matching is a matching method that allows for variations in character size and line thickness peculiar to inkjet printer printing. By combining this with the latest image processing technology, flexible print verification is performed.

Acceptable character dictionary registration
Of the characters actually printed, those that should be judged acceptable can be registered as a dictionary, which is used to achieve judgment closer to that of human eyes.

Unacceptable character dictionary registration
Characters that are easily misread can now be registered as unacceptable characters. By registering character patterns that should not pass as acceptable, even more accurate print verification can be realized.

Color camera compatibility achieving flexible print verification
The compatibility with color cameras enables the system to determine color differences that cannot be detected by monochrome cameras.
Software color filters save the hassle of selecting lighting and installing color filters.

Tilt cutout function
Even if the printed characters are tilted due to speed fluctuations, etc., the system automatically determines the degree of tilt and cuts out the characters reliably.

Simple
Operation system resulting from constantly striving for user-friendly configuration and operation.
Automatic setup guide supporting the setup process
Automatic setup guide
By following the on-screen guidance, parameters necessary for verification can be set automatically.
- Automatic setup may not be possible for some workpieces.

Simplified adjustment guide supporting the setup process
Items can be set easily just by following the guidance. Detailed parameters necessary for verification can also be set easily.

Versatile
Equipped with versatile functions helping achieve total marking.
Integration with Hitachi IJ printers
The system is highly compatible with the Hitachi “Gravis” IJ printers, enabling the printer to automatically align item switchover and print content changes with the print verification system.
It can also receive and verify the character strings printed by the printer via communication.

100% verification result recording system (optional)
Stores verification and defect data
Records all verification information about the print verification system. This provides a powerful tool for traceability of past verification results.
