Gravis UX2 Series
Hitachi industrial IJ printers are manufactured in Hitachi City, where Hitachi was founded, using knowhow and technology accumulated over many years since 1975. These high-speed printers adopt
a non-contact printing method in which ink jets through the air, making them suitable for a wide range of applications and capable of printing on a variety of materials. We deliver safe products to many customers around the world and our products are used in more than 120 countries including Japan and overseas.

Overview
Features
Easy operation and maintenance

Screen structure allowing intuitive operation and video support
The print setting screen has been redesigned to greatly improve ease of viewing and operation. It also offers videos to show the procedures for routine maintenance work and troubleshooting. Explanations are given on the work involved in filter replacement, ink cartridge replacement, and ink beam position adjustment.
Replacement of equipment made easy
Conventional inkjet printers require connection and disconnection of individual wires when equipment needs to be replaced, causing a hassle and the risk of incorrect wiring. The UX2 uses an I/O plug that can be attached and detached with a single touch and replacement of the entire wiring connection base has eliminated the risk of incorrect wiring.

Safe-Clean Station
Prevents ink path clogging during suspension

Prevents ink path clogging during suspension
Even when not in operation, an inkjet printer with the printhead set in the Safe-Clean Station performs regular ink jetting and circulation operations to reduce the risk of clogging with ink, as long as the printer remains energized. This offers peace of mind in production operation after a long break.
Multiple cleaning modes that can be used according to the degree of soiling
There is an option of three different cleaning modes with different levels of auxiliary liquid use according to the degree of soiling as a result of the customer’s usage conditions, making the system economical and waste-free.
New Ink Guard Structure
Depending on usage conditions, such as high-frequency printing, ink mist (ink back splash)*1 may build up in a column shape at the tip of the deflection electrode, resulting in erratic characters, chipped characters, etc., and downtime due to restoration work.
The UX2 uses the Ink Guard that traps ink mist in the printhead, enabling stable operation for up to three times longer than conventional printers*2. It suppresses columnar buildup of ink mist, which is effective in reducing print quality problems. The Ink Guard reduces printhead cleaning frequency and increases production line productivity.
- Occurrence varies greatly depending on the usage conditions of the inkjet printer. This phenomenon does not necessarily occur.
- Compared with the UX standard model. Under the conditions determined in-house. The improvement effect varies depending on the ink type and other usage conditions.
